Corporate development growth strategies through systemic digital transformation

Client’s Challenge

Our client needed to assess a newly acquired portfolio company’s current operational processes and automation gap to determine potential investment requirements to support strategic growth.

Our Solution

During executive coaching sessions DIGITOMIZATION team assessed the needs of the company’s new management team. After the discovery phase, we tapped into our deep process and systems expertise and hands-on experience to develop a future-state perspective our client hadn’t considered for a new acquisition, including identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency improvement. Our team conducted more than a dozen main stakeholder meetings across five main functions to understand each function’s business process, system requirements, and reporting needs. We identified system problems for each function using urgency and business impact score metrics to prioritize investments.

We assessed business requirements for the future state, the existing gaps and risks of the decided upon framework, and the creation of an IT system roadmap.

We recorded and reported findings and recommendations to our client and its portfolio business and assisted with implementing new redesigned systems.

Outcomes

Recommended initiatives that aimed to support future growth and provide an actionable business process automation plan were successfully implemented by a 3rd party provider that we recommended and collaborated with to makecomplex IT integrations.

For corporate development functions, we provided actionable steps for quick wins the portfolio company could achieve. As a result of the successful transformation of a portfolio company DIGITOMIZATION teamearned trust as the client’s go-to advisor and are now transitioned to phase 2 to assess their next prioritiesand needs further in terms of rapid scalability of the portfolio company.
